CBC Based Inter-LMA Route Optimization for the Race Condition Problem

چکیده

For the inter-LMA network environment in PMIPv6, location information of communicating Mobile Node(MN) and Correspondent Node(CN) is maintained in the different Local Mobility Anchor(LMA). Accordingly, when both MN and CN move to different MAGs simultaneously, race condition occurs in which updated location information of MN is forwarded to the previous MAG of CN. In this paper, an inter-LMA Route Optimization(RO) scheme is proposed to solve the race condition. It solves the race condition using the Correspondent Binding Cache(CBC) that keep track of location information of MNs managed by neighboring MAGs.
